“Falling Out” represents my attempt at stepping outside my comfort zone and truly committing to learning a new skill: rigging.
In the past, I had experimented here and there with smaller, simpler animations, but I never felt confident enough to take on a complete project that relied heavily on this technique. This time, however, I decided to challenge myself and see it through. The process was both demanding and rewarding.
I spent hours researching, practicing, and experimenting, slowly uncovering the strengths and limitations of the tools I was working with. There were plenty of moments of trial and error, but each step brought me closer to understanding how to bring characters to life in a more dynamic and flexible way.In the end, I’m proud of the result. Not only because of how the animation turned out, but because I pushed myself to acquire a skill I had always found intimidating.
“Falling Out” is more than just an animation for me- it’s a milestone in my creative journey, proof that patience, curiosity, and persistence can transform uncertainty into something I’m genuinely happy to share.

The rig was built using deformation tools such as the Liquify effect to achieve fluid mesh distortion. Motion cycles were automated through LoopIn() and LoopOut() expressions, ensuring seamless repetition and consistency. The rig was structured to provide flexible control over individual body parts while preserving the stylized proportions of the design, resulting in smooth and natural animation behavior (which I could tweek through the control panel and made small adjustments) .
